Call for Class Proposals

The ASDP Educational Conference is a multi-day conference that brings together entrepreneurs, established and emerging professionals, students, and enthusiasts in the fields of sewing and design. The core conference will be held October 24-27, 2023 in Portland, Oregon. The Core Conference Classes will balance a blend of half, full, and multi-day classes. In-depth Master Classes suited for advanced skill development in a concentrated time frame, with Pre- Core Conference dates available. A multi-day Vendor Marketplace and planned social gatherings will provide attendees the opportunity to network with other professionals and meet with industry experts and leaders.

We are seeking proposals from potential educators for business or skill-based classes to keep conference attendees up-to-date on all the latest issues, trends, and techniques. We welcome proposals for classes related to the sewing and design industry, including: Business/ marketing, Sewing/ fitting, Alterations, Specialty (bridal, menswear, pattern making, design, illustration, etc.), and Self-care.  

Class Proposal Requirements:

• Proposals should be submitted through the Proposal Form

• Each class proposal should be an individual submission

Selection Criteria:

• Relevance and quality of content

• Speaker's qualifications and experience
